Karl-Anthony Towns Made NBA History In Bucks-Timberwolves Game

On Friday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves are hosting Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
During the game, All-Star forward Karl-Anthony Towns made NBA history by becoming the 223rd player to reach 13,000 career points.

Towns is in the middle of another fantastic season with averages of 22.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest while shooting 51.7% from the field and 43.7% from the three-point range in 54 games.
He has helped the Timberwolves have a sensational year, as they are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 39-16 record in 55 games.
They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games.
Following the Bucks, the Timberwolves will remain in Minnesota to host Mikal Bridges and the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday evening.
At home, they are 19-5 in the 24 games they have played at the Target Center.
Towns was the first pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and is in his ninth season in the league (all with the Timberwolves).
The four-time NBA All-Star has career averages of 23.0 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest while shooting 52.5% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range in 565 regular season games.
He has also played in 16 NBA playoff games, and the Timberwolves have reached the postseason in each of the previous two years.
