Karl-Anthony Towns' Status For Spurs-Timberwolves Game

Karl-Anthony Towns has been ruled out for Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the San Antonio Spurs at the Target Center.    

For the game, the Timberwolves will be without one of their best players, as All-Star forward Karl-Anthony Towns has been ruled out due to personal reasons.   

Via Alan Horton: "Wolves announce Karl-Anthony Towns (personal reasons) is OUT for tonight's game vs. Spurs."

Towns is in the middle of another productive season with averages of 22.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest while shooting 51.4% from the field and 43.5% from the three-point range in 56 games.  

The Timberwolves are also tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the first seed in the Western Conference and have a 40-17 record in 57 games. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 101-86.

In 36 minutes of playing time, Towns had 28 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks while shooting 8/17 from the field and 4/8 from the three-point range. 

Following the Spurs, the Timberwolves will host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday evening at the Target Center.

As for the Spurs, they are the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference with an 11-47 record in 58 games. 

They are in the middle of a four-game losing streak and are 1-9 over their last ten games. 

Following the Timberwolves, the Spurs will return home to host Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday evening in Texas.
