Kevin Durant Made NBA History In Pacers-Suns Game

Kevin Durant made NBA history during Sunday's game.

On Sunday evening, the Phoenix Suns hosted the Indiana Pacers in Arizona. 

The Suns won the game by a score of 117-110, and Kevin Durant led the way with 40 points, nine rebounds, two assists and three blocks while shooting 18/25 from the field and 4/7 from the three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time. 

The 2014 MVP also made NBA history.

Durant is now averaging 29.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 53.2% from the field and 47.0% from the three-point range in 35 games.   

At 35, he is still among the ten best players in the NBA and will likely make his 14th All-Star Game next month.  

With the victory, the Suns improved to 24-18 in their first 42 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a five-game winning streak. 

Following Sunday's victory over the Pacers, the Suns will host DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls on Monday evening in Arizona. 

As for the Pacers, they dropped to 24-19 in their first 43 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
