Kevin Durant Made NBA History In Suns-Rockets Game

Kevin Durant made NBA history during Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Phoenix Suns are in Texas facing off against the Houston Rockets.  

During the game, 2014 MVP Kevin Durant made NBA history by moving up on the all-time assists list

Durant moved ahead of Goran Dragic (4,405) and Terrell Brandon (4,407) for 92nd on the list.  

Following Dragic and Brandon, the next player for Durant to pass will be Brevin Knight (4,481). 

Durant is one of the best scorers in NBA history, but he is also a capable passer and has a career average of 4.4 assists per contest. 

The future Hall of Famer came into the night with excellent averages of 30.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 51.8% from the field and 46.9% from the three-point range in 25 games. 

That said, the Suns have struggled and are currently the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 14-15 record in their first 29 games.  

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak. 

Most recently, the Suns lost to the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 128-114 (on Monday at home). 

In 43 minutes of playing time, Durant had 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and one block while shooting 4/11 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range. 

In addition to the Suns, Durant has also spent time with the, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Seattle SuperSonics/Oklahoma City Thunder over his 16 seasons playing in the NBA.
