Kevin Durant's Viral Post On X After Making NBA All-Star Game

Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns) sent out a post on X after being named to the NBA All-Star Game.

On Thursday evening, the NBA announced the starters for the 2024 All-Star Game that will take place next month in Indiana.

Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns) is in the middle of another fantastic season and was named to his 14th NBA All-Star Game.

After the news came out, Durant made a post to X that had over 25,000 likes in less than two hours.

Durant wrote: "Thanks to the fans, media and most importantly my peers for voting me into my 14th all star game. Can’t wait to lock in and hoop with some of the greatest ever in Indy.."

Durant is currently averaging 29.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest while shooting 52.9% from the field and 45.5% from the three-point range in 37 games.

Despite being 35 years old, he is still among the ten best players in the league and has played at an MVP level.

By making the All-Star Game, ESPN's Bobby Marks reported that Durant will receive a bonus.

Via Marks: "Kevin Durant has earned a $1.2M bonus for his selection to the All-Star game.

The bonus was deemed likely because Durant was selected in 2023."

As for the Suns, they are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 26-18 record in their first 44 games.

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and in the middle of a seven-game winning streak.

On Friday evening, the Suns will play their next game when they face off against the Pacers in Indiana.
