Kevin Durant's Viral Quote About Jalen Brunson After Knicks-Suns Game

Kevin Durant spoke to the media about Jalen Brunson following Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Phoenix Suns hosted the New York Knicks in Arizona. 

The Suns lost the game by a score of 139-122, and Jalen Brunson exploded for 50 points, six rebounds, nine assists and five steals while shooting 17/23 from the field and 9/9 from the three-point range. 

After the game, 2014 MVP Kevin Durant met with the media and spoke about Brunson (h/t Duane Rankin of azcentral). 

Durant: "Great scorer. Got the confidence. That's his franchise, so they all there support him and put him in the best position that he can to be a Hall of Fame player by the end of his career the way he playing up there."

The quote got a lot of attention on social media (h/t Bleacher Report).  

Durant finished the game with 29 points, three rebounds and six assists while shooting 10/21 from the field and 4/9 from the three-point range. 

With the loss, the Suns fell to 13-12 in their first 25 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference. 

As for Brunson, he is now averaging 25.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field and 46.0% from the three-point range in 24 games. 

He is in his second season with New York after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Dallas Mavericks. 

With the victory over the Suns, the Knicks improved to 14-10 in their first 24 games, which has them as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.
