Here's What Klay Thompson Said After Making NBA History In Warriors-Blazers Game On Sunday

Klay Thompson recently became just the third player in NBA history to record at least 300 made three-pointers in a season.

The Golden State Warriors have the greatest shooter of all-time in Stephen Curry and they also have the greatest second shooter of all-time in Klay Thompson.

In Sunday's regular season finale against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Warriors not only picked up a 56-point victory, but Thompson made NBA history by becoming just the third player ever to record at least 300 made threes in a single season.

Hitting five threes in the opening quarter, Klay Thompson joined Stephen Curry (who has done so four times) and James Harden as the only other players in league history to made at least 300 three-pointers in a season.

After his record-breaking performance, Thompson spoke to the media and opened up about the honor of being alongside Curry and Harden on this exclusive shooting list.

"I think it's cool to lead the league in threes made. Thompson said. "It's something I never did before. It's a testament to my hard work over the last few years. Some dark times turned into some beautiful moments."

Finishing the year with 301 made threes, Klay Thompson led the league in made threes for the first time in his career and he finished 13 threes ahead of Indiana Pacers sharpshooter Buddy Hield.

Coming back from ACL and Achilles injuries in back-to-back seasons a year ago, many questioned whether or not Klay Thompson would ever be the same player he was before these major leg injuries.

There were times where Thompson even questioned his NBA future, but he never gave up, he returned to the floor to help the Warriors capture their fourth title in the last eight seasons and now, he is continuing to prove that he is one of the greatest shooters this league has ever seen.

Thompson's story is remarkable and with the regular season over now, he and the Warriors have their sights set on defending their title and competing for a fifth championship!
