Kristaps Porzingis Made NBA History In Celtics-Rockets Game

On Sunday evening, the Boston Celtics faced off against the Houston Rockets in Texas. 

The Celtics won by a score of 116-107, and 2018 NBA All-Star Kristaps Porzingis led the way with 32 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and five blocks while shooting 11/21 from the field and 6/11 from the three-point range in 33 minutes of playing time. 

He also made NBA history with his stat line. 

Via NBA History: "Kristaps Porzingis passes Raef LaFrentz (2) for the most games with 30+ points, 5+ 3PM, and 5+ blocks in NBA history."

Porzingis is in his first season with Boston and has helped them get off to an excellent start.  

He is averaging 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 blocks per contest while shooting 52.5% from the field and 35.0% from the three-point range in 32 games. 

The Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-10 record in their first 43 games. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and improved to 13-9 in the 22 games they have played on the road away from Boston. 

Following the Rockets, the Celtics will now visit the Dallas Mavericks on Monday evening in Texas. 

As for the Rockets, they dropped to 20-22 in their first 42 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and are 16-7 in the 23 games they have played at home in Houston. 

Following the Celtics, the Rockets will now host the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday evening.
