LeBron James Made NBA History In Lakers-Rockets Game

LeBron James made NBA history during Sunday's game.

On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Houston Rockets 134-109 on the road in Texas.

The game was the third of their five-game road trip, and they have won all three (the first two were against the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves).

19-time All-Star LeBron James had a triple-double posting an impressive stat line of 18 points, ten rebounds, 11 assists and one block in only 29 minutes of playing time.

He now has 107 career triple-doubles, which ties Jason Kidd for fourth on the all-time list.

Via ESPN's Dave McMenamin: "LeBron James (18 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds) registered the 107th triple-double of his career tonight, tying his former Lakers assistant coach and Olympics teammate for the 4th most triple-doubles in NBA history."

After he eventually passes Kidd, the next player for him to move ahead of on the list will be Magic Johnson (138).

In addition, two-time MVP Nikola Jokic (105) is only two triple-doubles behind James and Kidd.

At 38, James is still among the ten best players in the league and has outstanding averages of 28.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 6.9 assists per contest in 51 games.

With the victory, the Lakers improved to 40-38 in 78 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

They are only a half-game back of the Los Angeles Clippers for the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot).

The Lakers will play their next two games on the road against the Utah Jazz and Clippers before hosting the Phoenix Suns on April 7.
