LeBron James' Viral Instagram Post After Lakers-Timberwolves Game
On Saturday evening, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.
James was celebrating his 39th birthday, and in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, he made a clutch shot that looked like a three-pointer to tie the game.
The shot would have tied the score at 107-107.
However, the refs ruled it a two-pointer, and the Lakers would go on to lose by a score of 108-106.
After the game, James made a post to Instagram with a photo clearly showing that his foot was behind the three-point line.
There were over 996,000 likes and 30,000 comments in less than three hours.
James captioned his post: "Sooooooooooooooo!!!!! WTF. Helluva Happy Bday gift to me. 🤦🏾♂️"
James finished the night with 26 points, three rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block while shooting 10/21 from the field and 1/4 from the three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.
Even at his age, he still remains among the ten best players in the league.
As for the Lakers, they dropped to 17-16 in their first 33 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.
They are just 3-7 over their last ten games and will visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday in Louisiana.
On the road, the Lakers have gone 6-12 in 18 games played away from Los Angeles.
As for the Timberwolves, they improved to 24-7 in 31 games, which has them as the first seed in the Western Conference.
