LeBron James' Viral Instagram Post After Nuggets-Lakers Game
On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets (at home) by a score of 124-114.
Despite the loss, LeBron James made NBA history by becoming the first player ever to reach 40,000 career points.
He finished the game with 26 points, four rebounds, nine assists and three steals while shooting 12/20 from the field and 2/5 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.
After the game, James made a post to Instagram that had over 1.4 million likes in less than 16 hours.
James captioned his post: "1 of 1 đź‘‘"
James turned 39 in December but is still among the best 15 players in the league with averages of 25.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 52.7% from the field and 40.8% from the three-point range in 54 games.
The Lakers are the tenth seed in the Western Conference and fell to 33-29 in 62 games with the loss.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and 21-10 in the 31 games they have hosted in Los Angeles.
Following the Nuggets, the Lakers will host Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday evening.
As for the Nuggets, they are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 42-19 in 61 games.
They are in the middle of a six-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games.
Following the Lakers, the Nuggets will host the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday evening.
