LeBron James' Viral Quote After Lakers-Hawks Game
On Tuesday evening, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers faced off against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena in Georgia.
The Hawks dominated most of the game and won by a score of 138-122.
The Lakers have now lost their previous two games by a combined 32 points.
Following the game, James met with the media, and one of his quotes went viral on social media (h/t ESPN's Dave McMenamin).
James: "We could, on any given night, beat any team in the NBA. And then, on any given night, we could get our a** kicked by any team in the NBA."
Despite turning 39 last month, James still plays big minutes, and he finished the night with 20 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block while shooting 7/17 from the field and 2/6 from the three-point range (in 36 minutes of playing time).
With the loss, the Lakers fell to 24-25 in their first 49 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.
They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 5-5 over their last ten games.
Following the Hawks, the Lakers will now face off against the Boston Celtics on Thursday evening in Massachusetts.
On the road, they have gone 7-17 in 24 games.
James has played in 44 games and has averages of 24.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field and 39.7% from the three-point range.
