LeBron James Was Asked About Upcoming Trade Deadline After Lakers-Hornets Game

LeBron James met with the media after Monday's game.

On Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers played the Charlotte Hornets in North Carolina.

Despite the game getting close at the end, the Lakers won by a score of 124-118.

D'Angelo Russell, Anthony Davis and LeBron James combined to score 80 points.

The Lakers finished their six-game road trip with a 4-2 record and will now return home for a showdown with the Denver Nuggets on Thursday evening in Los Angeles.

Thursday is also the final day to make trades for the remainder of the 2023-24 NBA season.

After Monday's victory over Charlotte, James was asked about the upcoming trade deadline when he met with the media (h/t Spectrum SportsNet).

Reporter: "The next time you guys will play will be after the trade deadline. Do you feel like, as a team, you guys have proven or shown why you guys should continue to invest in this current group?"

James: "This is what we have. So there's nothing else to talk about."

With the victory, the Lakers improved to 27-25 in 52 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and are 6-4 over their last ten games.

The Lakers have been a team that has been talked about quite frequently when it comes to potential trades, but they are also coming off a season where they reached the Western Conference with mostly the same core players.

As for the Hornets, they dropped to 10-39 in 49 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference.
