Los Angeles Clippers Set To Acquire Mason Plumlee From Charlotte Hornets

The Los Angeles Clippers are acquiring center Mason Plumlee from the Charlotte Hornets in a trade that sends veteran guard Reggie Jackson to Charlotte.

Continuing to make moves to upgrade their championship odds in the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to a trade with the Charlotte Hornets involving Mason Plumlee, first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. 

Adrian Wojnarowski: "The Hornets are trading center Mason Plumlee to the Clippers, source tells ESPN."

It is said that veteran point guard Reggie Jackson will be going to the Hornets as part of this deal for Plumlee. 

Now in his tenth NBA season, Plumlee has been having a great year in Charlotte, averaging 12.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game in 56 total games, all of which he has started in. 

Known for his rebounding abilities, Plumlee ranks tied for 19th in the NBA in double-doubles this season. 

Reggie Jackson has been with the Clippers since the 2019-20 season and has played well for Los Angeles, averaging 12.8 points and 3.8 assists per game during his time with the Clippers. 

Mason Plumlee joins veteran Eric Gordon and second-year guard Bones Hyland as new arrivals for the Los Angeles Clippers at the trade deadline this season.
