On Tuesday evening, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers lost Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 132-126 (on the road in Colorado).

Despite the loss, Davis was sensational.

The eight-time NBA All-Star played 42 minutes and had 40 points, ten rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks on 14/23 shooting from the field and 1/1 from the three-point range.

Following the game, the Twitter account @theNBAalert (which tracks the Twitter activity of NBA players) reported that Davis unfollowed ESPN's, Stephen A. Smith.

Davis is one of the most notable players in the league and has over 2.2 million followers on his Twitter account.

However, the former Kentucky star is inactive on the app and has not tweeted since 2022.

The superstar forward has been the best player on the Lakers through the first 13 games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Davis is averaging 22.6 points, 13.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 3.2 blocks per contest while shooting 53.9% from the field.

In the first two rounds, the Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies (who were the second seed) and the Golden State Warriors (who were the defending NBA Champions).

Going up against the Nuggets poses a difficult challenge because they are the first seed and two-time MVP Nikola Jokic has been playing arguably even better than Davis.

Jokic finished the night with 34 points, 21 rebounds, 14 assists and two blocks.

Game 2 will be back in Denver on Thursday night before the teams go to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4.
