On Friday evening, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks hosted the Los Angeles Clippers in Texas.

The Mavs won the game by a score of 144-126 to improve to 7-2 in their first nine games of the season.

Doncic had a fantastic game with 44 points, six rebounds, six assists and one steal while shooting 17/21 from the field and 6/9 from the three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time.

He also made NBA history by joining a list with only LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

Via NBA History: "Since 1976-77 (NBA-ABA merger), Luka Doncic joins LeBron James and Michael Jordan as the only players in NBA History with more than 30 games with 40+ points at the age of 25 or younger:

Michael Jordan - 52 games

LeBron James - 36 games

Luka Doncic - 31 games"

Doncic is now averaging a sensational 32.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 52.3% from the field and 40.8% from the three-point range.

He is in his sixth season in the league and is already a four-time NBA All-Star.

Last year, Doncic averaged 32.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 49.6% from the field.

The Mavs are 4-1 in the five games they have hosted on their home floor in Dallas and are the second seed in the Western Conference (just one game back of the Denver Nuggets).

They will play their next game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday evening in Louisiana.
