Magic Johnson's Honest Reaction To Nuggets-Lakers Game

Magic Johnson shared his thoughts on Twitter after the Los Angeles Lakers lost Game 3 to the Denver Nuggets.

On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers lost Game 3 of the Western Conference (at home) to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 119-108.

They are now in an 0-3 hole after losing both Games 1 and 2 in Denver (in addition to Saturday's loss at home).

Following the game, Hall of Famer (and Lakers legend) Magic Johnson shared his thoughts on Twitter.

He sent out several tweets, and in one of them, the five-time NBA Champion apologized to the Nuggets.

Johnson tweeted: "I have to apologize to the Denver Nuggets, they proved that they are a better and more talented team in their victory over the Lakers tonight. They put both teams in the Eastern Conference on notice that they are committed to winning a championship!"

Johnson typically shares his opinions on Twitter following Lakers games.

The legendary point guard is arguably the best player in the franchise's history and had stints as their head coach and President of Basketball Operations.

The Lakers are now in a tough spot, as no team in the league's history has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit.

Game 4 will be on Monday night in Los Angeles, and the Lakers will need a victory to avoid getting swept (Game 5 would be back in Denver on Wednesday).

In the first two rounds, the Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors (both in six games).

The winner of the series will advance to the 2023 NBA Finals and face off against either the Miami Heat or the Boston Celtics.
