Magic Johnson's Post On X After Commanders-Falcons Game

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson sent out two posts on X after the Washington Commanders defeated the Atlanta Falcons.

On Sunday afternoon, the Washington Commanders faced off against the Atlanta Falcons in Georgia.

The Commanders won by a score of 24-16 to improve to 3-3 in their first six games of the season.

Basketball Hall of Famer (and Los Angeles Lakers) legend Magic Johnson recently became a co-owner of the Commanders, and following their victory, he sent out two posts on X.

Johnson's first post on X: "Congratulations to my @Commanders on today’s 24-16 win vs. the Falcons! Defense came up big twice in today’s win with two interceptions in the last 5 minutes, one by St. Juste and one by Davis. Coach Rivera really had the team ready to play!"

Johnson's second post on X: "I want to thank all of the Washington Commanders fans for coming out because they helped will us to victory! We had more fans in Mercedes Benz Stadium than the Falcons!"

The Commanders were led by quarterback Sam Howell, who threw for 151 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

In addition, their defense had three interceptions on Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder.

Next Sunday, the Commanders will visit the New York Giants, while the Falcons will go to Florida to face off against the Tampa Bay Bucs.

As for Johnson, he is one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

He spent his entire 13-year career with Los Angeles and helped them win five NBA Championships.

The legendary point guard had career averages of 19.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 11.2 assists and 1.9 steals per contest.
