On Sunday afternoon, the New York Giants hosted the Washington Commanders in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Giants took a 14-0 lead into halftime, but the game was close, as the Commanders scored a touchdown in the third quarter to come within seven.

However, no one scored in the fourth quarter, and the Commanders lost by a score of 14-7.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson is a part-owner of the team, and after the game, he sent out a post on X that is going viral.

Johnson wrote: "Disappointing 14-7 loss for my Commanders to the NY Giants. It’s hard to win in the NFL when you only score 7 points."

The Giants were led by veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns.

Star tight end Darren Waller also caught seven passes for 98 yards and a touchdown.

With the victory, the Giants improved to 2-5 in their first seven games, and they will play their next game on October 29 against the New York Jets.

Meanwhile, the Commanders are now 3-4 in their first seven games and will play their next game on October 29 when they host the Philadelphia Eagles in Maryland.

As for Johnson, he is one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA, and spent his entire 13-year career with the Lakers.

Johnson won five NBA Championships, and had career averages of 19.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 11.2 assists and 1.9 steals per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field.
