Magic Johnson's Viral Post On X After Giants-Commanders Game

Magic Johnson sent out a post on X after the Washington Commanders lost to the New York Giants.

On Sunday afternoon, the Washington Commanders hosted the New York Giants and lost the game by a score of 31-19.

The team struggled to keep possession of the football, as they turned it over six times (quarterback Sam Howell threw three interceptions).

After the game, Basketball Hall of Famer (and Commanders' co-owner) Magic Johnson sent out a post (on X) that went viral.

There were over 7,000 likes and one million impressions in less than one hour. 

Via Johnson: "Wow! My Washington Commanders turned the ball over six times today and gave the Giants 24 points off turnovers. We lost 31-19."

With the loss, the Commanders have dropped to 4-7, and they are now in the middle of a two-game losing streak. 

They are in third place in the NFC East and just 1-4 in the five games they have played at home. 

The Commanders will play their next game on Thursday evening when they visit the Dallas Cowboys in Texas. 

As for the Giants, they are 3-8 in their first 11 games and in last place in the NFC East. 

They will play their next game on Sunday afternoon when they host the New England Patriots in New Jersey. 

As for Johnson, he is one of the greatest players ever and spent his entire 13-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers.   

The five-time NBA Champion has career averages of 19.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 11.2 assists and 1.9 steals per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field in 906 games.
