Magic Johnson's Viral Post On X After Lakers-Clippers Game
On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a miraculous victory over the Los Angeles Clippers (as the road team).
The Lakers trailed by as many as 21 points but had an unbelievable performance in the fourth quarter and won by a score of 116-112.
20-time NBA All-Star LeBron James was brilliant, leading the way with 34 points on 13/21 shooting from the field and 7/12 from the three-point range.
After the big win, Hall of Famer (and Lakers legend) Magic Johnson sent out two posts on X.
Johnson's first post: "LeBron James put the Lakers on his back and carried them home to a victory, scoring 34 points - and outscoring the entire Clippers team in the 4th quarter 19-16!! 🔥"
Johnson's second post: "What an outstanding 116-112 comeback victory for the Lakers over the Clippers!! They showed a lot of grit and toughness tonight to erase a 21-point deficit!👏🏽"
With the victory, the Lakers are now 32-28 in 60 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference (one of the final two play-in tournament spots).
They are 7-3 over their last ten games and have been playing some of their best basketball of the season over the previous few weeks.
The Lakers will play the second night of a back-to-back on Thursday when they host Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards.
Johnson spent his entire 13-year career with the Lakers and helped lead the franchise to five NBA Championships.
He is a 12-time NBA All-Star.
