On Wednesday evening, the Arizona Diamondbacks hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers for Game 3 of their NLDS series.

The Diamondbacks won by a score of 4-2, which completed the sweep, so they will now advance to the NLCS, while the Dodgers have been eliminated from the MLB Playoffs.

On Thursday, Los Angeles Lakers legend (and Dodgers part-owner) Magic Johnson sent out a post on X that went viral.

His post had over 11,000 likes and 5.1 million impressions in less than 13 hours.

Johnson wrote: "We’re all disappointed that our Dodgers didn’t hit or pitch well. That’s why we lost the Series to the Diamondbacks!"

Getting swept in the postseason is always a disappointment, but the Dodgers had been one of the best teams in baseball during the regular season.

They won the National League West Division with an impressive 100-62 record and have a very talented roster.

Last year, the Dodgers also lost in the NLDS against the San Diego Padres (3-1).

As for the Diamondbacks, they pulled off a very impressive upset, considering they were the second-place team in the National League West Division with an 84-78 record.

They will now face off against the Philadelphia Phillies (who beat the Atlanta Braves 3-1).

Meanwhile, Johnson is one of the greatest players in NBA history and was a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

He spent his entire 13-year career with the Lakers and had career averages of 19.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 11.2 assists and 1.9 steals per contest.

The Lakers also won five NBA Championships during that span.
