Jimmy Butler Posts TikTok That Goes Viral Before NBA Finals
On Thursday evening, Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat will be in Colorado to face off with the Denver Nuggets for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
The Heat are in the middle of one of the most impressive postseason runs in NBA history, as they are just the second 8th seed ever to reach the Finals.
In the Eastern Conference Finals, the Heat had a 3-0 lead over the Boston Celtics series but lost three straight games.
That said, they were able to finish off the Celtics in Game 7 (on Monday night).
On Wednesday, Butler posted a video to TikTok where he shared an audio clip that a fan direct messaged him during the Conference Finals.
The fan in the audio clip: "Now, Jimmy, I don't usually do this. I don't go on people's DM's, celebrity DM's. People that are higher up and beg. BUT DAMN IT, JIMMY, FINISH THIS S***, PLEASE! I MENTALLY CAN'T HANDLE A 3-0 COMEBACK, MAN. PLEASE!"
The hilarious post has gone viral on Twitter, as Bleacher Report's tweet had over 33,000 likes and 1.6 million impressions in less than two hours.
Butler has had a sensational postseason with averages of 28.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.1 steals per contest while shooting 48.3% from the field.
He signed with the Heat in the summer of 2019 and has led them to the NBA Playoffs for four straight seasons.
They have made the Conference Finals three times (and the NBA Finals twice) in that span.
