FINAL UPDATE: Mike Conley will be available.

On Friday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be in Tennessee to face off with the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Timberwolves acquired veteran point guard Mike Conley in a three-team trade with the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers that was finalized on Thursday.

Conley was in his fourth season playing for the Jazz and is currently averaging 10.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.0 steals per contest.

The 35-year-old also has three seasons of experience playing with Timberwolves' All-Star center Rudy Gobert.

Right now, the Timberwolves are 30-28 in 58 games, which has them tied with the New Orleans Pelicans for the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and 10-16 in the 26 games they have played on the road away from Target Center.

Last season, the Timberwolves made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2018.

As for the Grizzlies, they enter the evening as the second seed in the west with a 33-21 record in 54 games.

They are 2-8 in their last ten games but an outstanding 22-5 in the 27 games they have hosted at home in Memphis.

Last season, they beat the Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA Playoffs (in six games) but lost to the Golden State Warriors in the second round.

Both teams have talented rosters that could make a deep run in the 2023 postseason.
