Former NBA All-Star Tweets Bold Prediction About Grizzlies' Ja Morant

Former NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas sent out a tweet about Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant.

Derrick Rose was once among the most exciting players in the NBA when he began his career playing for the Chicago Bulls.

The 2011 MVP, unfortunately, dealt with significant injuries that derailed his prime.

Still, he was able to make the transition into becoming a solid role player following his days of stardom.

Recently, the 34-year-old signed with the Memphis Grizzlies, which means he will now be teammates with All-Star point guard Ja Morant.

The two point guards have drawn comparisons for their ability to finish at the rim and make unbelievable plays on a nightly basis.

On Wednesday, former NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas sent out a tweet with a bold prediction for Morant's 2023-24 season.

He believes having Rose on the roster will significantly help Morant.

Thomas tweeted: "Watch what type of season Ja has next year with D rose connected to his hip all year long. Once he gets off suspension he will have his best season yet. That D rose presence going to have him on some MVP shit… Watch!"

Last year, Morant averaged a sensational 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field in 61 games.

He led the Grizzlies to a 51-31 record, which got them the second seed in the Western Conference for the second straight season.

That said, the former Murray State star will be suspended for the first 25 games of the 2023-24 regular season.

As for Thomas, he most recently played in the NBA during the 2021-22 season when he spent time with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets.
