NBA Champion Makes Bold Statement About Luka Doncic

NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins made a bold statement about Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks).

Luka Doncic is in the middle of another incredible season.

The Dallas Mavericks superstar is averaging 34.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 49.2% from the field and 38.0% from the three-point range in 49 games.

On Monday, NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins (appearing on ESPN's First Take) made a bold statement about Doncic.

Perkins: "I feel like Luka is the most dangerous player in the Western Confernece."

Doncic is without a doubt one of the ten best players in the NBA, but the Western Conference also features LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and many other stars, which is why the quote from Perkins is noteworthy.

Right now, the Mavs are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 33-24 record in 57 games.

They have been playing arguably their best basketball of the season during the month of February and are 7-3 over their last ten games.

Before losing 133-111 to the Indiana Pacers (on Sunday), the Mavs had been in the middle of a seven-game winning streak.

Following the Pacers, the Mavs will return to action on Tuesday evening when they visit Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers in Ohio.

Doncic was the third pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and is in his sixth season in the league (all with the Mavs).

He has made the NBA All-Star Game in each of the previous five seasons and helped lead the Mavs to the Western Conference Finals in 2022.
