NBA Champion Makes Bold Statement About Minnesota Timberwolves

Kendrick Perkins had high praise for the Minnesota Timberwolves after Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves faced off against the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.

The Timberwolves won by a score of 121-109, and All-Star guard Anthony Edwards led the way with 41 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block while shooting 16/27 from the field and 4/8 from the three-point range in 34 minutes of playing time.

After the game, NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins had high praise for the Timberwolves.

Perkins wrote: "The Timberwolves have been standing on business all season long! Idk about how y’all feel… but I’m leaning towards them being legit Title Contenders. Good night and Carry the hell on…"

With the victory, the Timberwolves improved to 38-16 in 54 games, which has them as the first seed in the Western Conference.

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a three-game winning streak.

On the road, the Timberwolves are an impressive 19-11 in the 20 games they have played away from the Target Center.

The Timberwolves have made the NBA playoffs in each of the previous two seasons but have been unable to get out of the first round.

2004 was the last time the franchise won a playoff series (they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Conference Finals).

That said, the Timberwolves have an extremely talented roster led by Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert and Edwards.

In addition, Edwards is only 22 years old and is on the path to becoming one of the top ten players in the NBA.
