NBA Champion Point Guard Is Still A Free Agent

Bryn Forbes, who won the 2021 NBA Championship with the Milwaukee Bucks, is still a free agent.

Bryn Forbes is coming off a year where he played in 25 regular season games for the Minnesota Timberwolves and averaged 3.6 points per contest while shooting 36.1% from the field and 30.4% from the three-point range.

The 30-year-old was waived in February, and later that month reportedly got arrested.

Following the alleged incident, no team signed him, and he still remains a free agent.

Last month, KENS 5 reported that the case had been dismissed.

Via KENS 5 on July 19: "Former Spur Bryn Forbes will not face charges after being arrested on a family violence charge back on February 15.

The case against Forbes was dismissed after he successfully applied for a pre-trial diversion program offered by Bexar County."

In addition to his time with the Timberwolves, Forbes has also had stints with the San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets.

His career averages are 8.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 43.6% from the field and 41.0% from the three-point range in 431 regular season games (he has also appeared in 42 NBA playoff games).

In 2021, Forbes helped the Bucks win the 2021 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat, averaging 6.6 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 41.1% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range in 20 playoff games.

Forbes has proven to be an elite three-point shooter and has extensive experience, so could be a good pickup for a contending team's training camp roster.
