NBA Champion Signs With Team In Italy

Former Toronto Raptors player Malcolm Miller has signed with a team in Italy.

Malcolm Miller was initially undrafted out of Holy Cross in 2015 but ended up making the NBA in 2017-18 as a member of the Toronto Raptors

He most recently played in the league during the 2020 season when he averaged 1.3 points per contest while shooting 41.4% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range in 28 games (with the Raptors).

Recently, the 30-year-old signed with UCC Piacenza (h/t Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype).

Miller played three seasons in the NBA (all with the Raptors) and has career averages of 2.0 points per contest while shooting 43.4% from the field and 40.6% from the three-point range in 53 regular season games.

He has also appeared in 11 NBA playoff games and was part of the 2019 team that beat Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors to win the NBA Championship.

Miller has also spent a significant amount of time playing in the G League and has solid career averages of 11.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field and 37.4% from the three-point range in 111 regular season games (he has also appeared in seven G League playoff games).

At this stage of his career, it's possible that Miller could be done in the NBA, but he has been able to play a key role on several teams overseas since his time with the Raptors.

The small forward has played for Vanoli Cremona and Limoges CSP over the previous two seasons.
