On Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers won their third game in a row when they beat the Toronto Raptors 122-112.

D'Angelo Russell led the way with 28 points, five rebounds and nine assists (on 10/17 shooting from the field).

With the victory, the Lakers improved to 33-34 in 67 games, which has them in sole possession of the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

Following the game, they made a roster move on Saturday morning by assigning rookie Max Christie to the G League.

Via Harrison Faigen of SB Nation: "The Lakers just sent Max Christie back down to the South Bay Lakers."

The former Michigan State star didn't make an appearance in Friday night's game and is averaging 3.5 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest in 37 games.

He is also shooting 41.9% from the field and 41.9% from the three-point range.

In the G League, Christie has been good, averaging 13.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest in ten regular season games (while shooting 44.3% from the field).

The 20-year-old was the 35th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft this past summer.

As for the Lakers, they have been playing some of the best basketball of their season over the last few weeks.

They are 7-3 in their last ten games and only one game back of the tie for the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot).

On Sunday night, the Lakers will play their next game when they host the New York Knicks in Los Angeles, California.
