BREAKING: New York Knicks Make A Trade With Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to trade Josh Hart to the New York Knicks.

UPDATE: The New York Knicks have also traded Ryan Arcidiacono and Svi Mykhailiuk to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The New York Knicks have been looking to make a move trending towards the trade deadline and they have done so by trading for Portland Trail Blazers wing Josh Hart.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Knicks are acquiring Josh Hart from the Trail Blazers.

Adrian Wojnarowski: "The Trail Blazers are trading Josh Hart to the Knicks."

Wojnarowski went on to report that the Knicks are sending former first-round pick Cam Reddish and a 2023 lottery-protected first-round pick. Should this pick not convey, the Knicks will instead send Portland four second-round picks.

Hart, 27, was rumored to be a potential trade target for multiple teams heading towards the trade deadline and most recently, HoopsHype's Michael Scotto had reported the Knicks interest in him.

Both Jalen Brunson and Ryan Arcidiacono played with Josh Hart at Villanova, winning a national championship with the Wildcats in 2016.

In 51 games this season for the Trail Blazers, Hart has averaged 9.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game while shooting 50.4 percent from the floor. He is only shooting 30.4 percent from three-point range this season, but for his career, Hart has shot 34.3 percent from the perimeter.

Ever since trading for Cam Reddish last season, the Knicks have not seemed to utilize the young forward and it was highly expected that he would be on the move ahead of the deadline.

Known for his scoring abilities off-the-bench, Reddish will get another chance to prove himself on the final year of his rookie deal with Portland.
