Nikola Jokic made NBA history during Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets are facing off against the Pacers in Indiana.

During the game, the two-time MVP made NBA history by moving ahead of Hall of Famer Alex English (4,351) for 97th on the all-time assists list

Following English, the next player for Jokic to pass will be Ray Allen (4,361).

Jokic came into the evening with averages of 26.1 points, 11.9 rebounds, 9.1 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 58.7% from the field and 35.0% from the three-point range in 43 games.

The Nuggets are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 30-14 record in their first 44 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and have gone 7-3 over their last ten games.

Most recently, the Nuggets beat Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards (on the road) by a score of 113-104.

In 36 minutes of playing time, Jokic had 42 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 15/20 from the field.

Following Tuesday's showdown with Indiana, the Nuggets will travel to Manhattan to face off against the New York Knicks on Thursday evening at Madison Square Garden.

Jokic has already established himself among the best players of all time and will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer one day.

The Nuggets are coming off a season where they won the NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.

They will have an excellent chance to repeat as Champions in 2024.
