OKC Thunder Reportedly Signing 11-Year NBA Veteran

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Oklahoma City Thunder will sign Mike Muscala.

Mike Muscala has played in 37 games this season for the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons.

Muscala is averaging 3.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 34.1% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range.

Earlier this week, he was waived by the Pistons, and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski now reports that the 11-year veteran is expected to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder

Via Wojnarowski: "ESPN Sources: After clearing waivers, center Mike Muscala plans to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the rest of the season. Muscala — who agreed to a buyout with Detroit — spent 2019-2023 with OKC and returns to bring depth for a postseason run."

In addition to the Pistons, Wizards and Thunder, he has also spent time with the Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers.

His career averages are 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 45.2% from the field and 37.6% from the three-point range in 532 regular season games.

Muscala has appeared in 35 NBA playoff games and was with the Hawks when they reached the 2015 Eastern Conference Finals.

As for the Thunder, they are in the middle of a fantastic season.

They are the second seed in the Western Conference with a 41-18 record in 59 games.

The Thunder will play their next game when they visit Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns on Sunday in Arizona.

On the road, they are 17-12 in 29 games, while they have gone 24-6 in 30 games at home.
