Orlando Magic Player Fined $2,000 By NBA

On Friday afternoon, the Orlando Magic hosted the Boston Celtics in Florida. 

The Magic won the game by a score of 113-96, and Moritz Wagner led the way with 27 points and three rebounds while shooting 9/13 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range in 24 minutes of playing time. 

Franz Wagner, who had 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists and one block, was fined $2,000 by the NBA following the game.

Wagner is now averaging 18.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 43.6% from the field and 27.9% from the three-point range in 16 games.  

With the victory over the Celtics, the Magic improved to 11-5 in their first 16 games, which has them as the second seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are in the middle of a six-game winning streak and 6-2 in the eight games they have played on their home floor in Orlando, Florida. 

On Sunday evening, the Magic will play their next game when they host LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets. 

Wagner was the eighth pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and is in his third season in the league (all with Orlando). 

His career averages are 17.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest while shooting 47.2% from the field and 34.9% from the three-point range in 175 games.
