Patrick Beverley's Viral Tweet After Getting Traded

Patrick Beverley sent out a tweet after getting traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Orlando Magic.

On Thursday, veteran point guard Patrick Beverley was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Orlando Magic.

The trade landed the Lakers with former sixth overall pick Mo Bamba.

Beverley had been in his first season with the team, and following the trade, he sent out a tweet that has gone viral.

The post has over 89,000 likes and 3.7 million impressions.

Beverley tweeted on February 10: "💜💛thanks for the Love. Was a pleasure 2 represent the Lakers in any type of Way. Thanks Rob, Thanks Coach Ham and Entire Lakers organization for everything. Finish Strong GANG red ❤️"

On Sunday, the Magic announced that they waived the 34-year-old.

Therefore, Beverley will be one of the most coveted free agents on the market.

He would be a good fit on a contender trying to make a push for a deep run in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Right now, the 11-year veteran is averaging 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest.

A large part of what he brings to the table doesn't show up in the box score because he is a fantastic defender and fearless leader.

He has the ability to help bring the best out of those around him, and he has been to the playoffs eight times.

In addition to the Lakers, Beverley has spent time with the Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

His career averages are 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals per contest in 571 regular season games.
