Patrick Beverley's Viral Tweet After The Bulls Beat The Raptors

Patrick Beverley sent out a tweet after the Chicago Bulls defeated the Toronto Raptors.

On Wednesday evening, the Chicago Bulls defeated the Toronto Raptors 109-105 in the play-in tournament (on the road in Canada).

With the victory, the Bulls will now go to Florida to face off against Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat (on Friday) for a chance at the eighth seed (to play the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs).

Meanwhile, the Raptors are headed home for the 2023 offseason.

Veteran guard Patrick Beverley was playing in his second straight play-in tournament (he helped the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Los Angeles Clippers in 2022).

Beverley finished the night with three points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 26 minutes of playing time.

After the game, he sent out a tweet that went viral.

His post had over 12,000 likes and 540,000+ impressions in less than 24 hours.

The 34-year-old began his season with the Los Angeles Lakers but signed with the Bulls in the middle of the year (after getting traded to the Orlando Magic, who bought him out).

Last year, the Bulls made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2017 season but got off to a tough start to the 2022-23 regular season.

That said, the addition of Beverley helped them finish as the tenth seed (the final play-in tournament spot) in the Eastern Conference.

The Bulls have one of the most talented rosters in the league, featiruing DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.

Therefore, if they can get into the playoffs, they will have a chance to make a deep run.
