Paul George Made NBA History In Clippers-Grizzlies Game

Paul George moved up on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Clippers are facing off against the Memphis Grizzlies in Tennessee. 

During the game, Paul George made NBA history by moving ahead of Chris Webber and Chris Bosh (17,189) for 98th on the all-time scoring list

Following Webber and Bosh, the next player for George to pass will be Jeff Malone (17,231). 

George came into the evening with averages of 23.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 46.3% from the field and 41.4% from the three-point range in 35 games. 

The Clippers are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 24-13 record in their first 37 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Clippers beat the Toronto Raptors by a score of 126-120. 

In 38 minutes of playing time, George had 29 points, seven rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block while shooting 12/22 from the field and 5/9 from the three-point range. 

Following the Grizzlies, the Clippers will visit Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday evening at the Target Center. 

George was the tenth pick in the 2010 NBA Draft and is in his 14th season playing in the league.  

In addition to Los Angeles, he has also spent time with the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder. 

His career averages are 20.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 43.8% from the field and 38.3% from the three-point range.
