James Harden's Viral Instagram Post Amid Trade Rumors

On Tuesday, Philadelphia 76ers NBA All-Star James Harden made a post to Instagram.

James Harden is coming off another spectacular year where he averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 44.1% from the field and 38.5% from the three-point range in 58 regular season games for the Philadelphia 76ers.

This summer, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski (on June 29) reported that the 2018 MVP will opt into the final year of his contract, which will pay him $35.6 million for the 2023-24 season.

Wojnarowski also added that a trade was a serious possibility.

Via Wojnarowski on June 29: "BREAKING: 76ers G James Harden is picking up his $35.6 million option and sides are beginning to work together in exploring trade scenarios, sources tell ESPN. It’s expected that Harden has played his last game for Philadelphia."

Recently, Harden made a post to Instagram with ten photos from Michael Rubin's party in New York.

In one of the photos, he was with teammates Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid.

The picture of the trio is going viral on Twitter, as speculation about his future with the organization remains.

On a recent episode of ESPN's Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective, Windhorst reported that Harden could still stay with the team.

Windhorst via his podcast: "The 6ers are not afraid to let it be known that they don't think necessarily it's over with James Harden. That maybe everybody was a just little bit in their feelings and a little bit fired up with the state of the negotiations on Thursday."

Harden has been with the 76ers for part of two seasons, and they have lost in the second round of the NBA Playoffs in both years.

In addition to the 76ers, the former Arizona State star has also played for the Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder.
