Phoenix Suns Player Has Successful Surgery And Is Out Indefinitely

The Phoenix Suns have announced that Damion Lee had successful surgery.

Damion Lee is coming off a year where he played in 74 regular season games (and eight NBA playoff games) for the Phoenix Suns

The 2022 NBA Champion averaged 8.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 44.5% from the three-point range. 

On Wednesday, the Suns announced that Lee had successful surgery (h/t Duane Rankin).   

Via The Suns on Wednesday: "Phoenix Suns guard Damion Lee today underwent a successful surgery to repair his right meniscus. The procedure was preformed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles. Updates on Lee's return to the court will be provided as appropriate." 

Lee has proven to be an excellent role player over his six seasons in the NBA and was one of the best three-point shooters in the league last year. 

In addition to the Suns, he has also played for the Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors. 

His career averages are 8.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 43.6% from the field and 37.9% from the three-point range in 290 regular season games.

The 30-year-old has also appeared in 24 NBA playoff games and helped the Warriors win the title over the Boston Celtics in 2022. 

As for the Suns, they are coming off a year where they were the fourth seed in the Western Conference. 

They beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the NBA playoffs but lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round (in six games).
