Recent Philadelphia 76ers Player Reportedly Signs With Team In China

According to Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype, Myles Powell has signed with a team in the CBA.

Myles Powell was one of the best college basketball players in recent history.

The former Seton Hall star averaged 21.0 points per contest during his senior year and led the Pirates to the NCAA Tournament three times.

Over four seasons, his career averages were 17.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 34.6% from the three-point range in 129 games.

This summer, Powell was a free agent and played for the Houston Rockets in the NBA Summer League.

According to Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype, he has now signed a deal with the Qingdao Eagles

Powell went undrafted in 2020 but played his rookie season (in 2021-22) with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Over 11 games, Powell averaged 1.2 points in 4.7 minutes of playing time per contest.

In addition to his time in the NBA, the 26-year-old has also played in the G League.

His career averages are 20.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 46.9% from the field and 42.1% from the three-point range (he has also appeared in one Showcase Cup game, one Exhibition game and five G League playoff games).

Since Powell played so well in the G League and is a recent college star, he will likely be a fantastic signing for the Eagles and one of the best players in the CBA.

At such a young age, it's possible that Powell could return to the NBA at some point over the next few seasons.
