Russell Westbrook Finishes Miraculous Layup In Clippers-Thunder Game

UPDATE: The Clippers lost by a score of 129-107, and Russell Westbrook had two points, one rebound, five assists and one steal. 

On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Clippers are playing the Oklahoma City Thunder in Oklahoma.   

During the first half, Russell Westbrook made a fantastic layup that got a lot of views on social media.

Westbrook came into the evening with averages of 11.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.3% from the field and 28.1% from the three-point range in 53 games (he's played in every game). 

The Clippers have had an incredible season and are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 36-17 record in 53 games. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently defeated Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors by a score of 130-125. 

Westbrook had 15 points, five rebounds, six assists and one steal while shooting 6/14 from the field in 31 minutes of playing time. 

Following the Thunder, the Clippers will travel to Tennessee for a showdown with the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday evening. 

Westbrook is in his 16th season in the league, and while he is no longer a superstar, he remains a highly productive role player off the bench. 

In addition to the Clippers, the future Hall of Famer has also spent time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Lakers. 

His career averages are 21.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 43.8% from the field.
