Russell Westbrook Will Likely Make Exciting NBA History In Suns-Clippers Game

Russell Westbrook will likely move up on the NBA's all-time playoff scoring list in Game 5.

On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Clippers will be in Arizona to face off with the Phoenix Suns for Game 5 of their first-round playoff series.

During the game, nine-time All-Star Russell Westbrook will likely make exciting NBA history by moving up on the all-time playoff scoring list

Westbrook comes into the night with 2,831 career playoff points, which ranks 35th on the list.

He is only three points away from moving ahead of Hall of Famer Charles Barkley (2,833) for 34th.

The 34-year-old has been sensational in the series and has scored 28+ points in each of the last three games.

He is coming off an impressive performance where he put up 37 points, six rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in Game 4.

That said, the Clippers are in a 3-1 hole, so a loss would eliminate them from the playoffs.

They will be playing without their two best players, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, so Westbrook will need to have a big game to keep the Clippers alive.

The former UCLA star began the year with the Los Angeles Lakers but signed with the Clippers after getting traded to the Utah Jazz (who waived him).

He is in his 15th season in the NBA and is one of the best guards of all time.

In addition to the Clippers and Lakers, the 2017 MVP has also had stints with the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Whoever wins the series will advance to the second round and face off against either the Denver Nuggets or Minnesota Timberwolves.
