Sacramento Kings Make A Roster Move

The Sacramento Kings have re-signed Neemias Queta.

Neemias Queta is coming off a year where he played in five regular-season games for the Sacramento Kings and averaged 2.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 66.7% from the field.

This summer, Queta became a free agent, but the Kings have now announced (on Tuesday) that they have re-signed him.

Via The Kings: "The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has signed center Neemias Queta to a standard NBA contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed."

Queta was initially the 39th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Utah State and also spent his rookie year with Sacramento.

His career averages are 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 48.9% from the field in 20 regular season games.

In addition to his time in the NBA, the 24-year-old has also played in the G League for the last two seasons.

This past year, he averaged 16.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.9 blocks per contest while shooting 68.5% from the field in 29 regular season games (he also appeared in 14 Showcase Cup games and one G League playoff game).

As for the Kings, they are coming off an impressive season where they were the third seed in the Western Conference and had a 48-34 record.

They made the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2006 season but lost to the Golden State Warriors in the first round (in seven games).

That said, the Kings will likely be a contender to make the 2024 playoffs once again next year.
