Shocking Fact About The 2010 NBA Draft

According to Twitter user @KhizHoop, only two players from the 2010 NBA Draft remain on a roster (Paul George and Gordon Hayward).

The 2010 NBA Draft was only 13 years ago, but there are very few players from that draft currently on an NBA roster.

According to Twitter user @KhizHoop, Paul George (Los Angeles Clippers) and Gordon Hayward (Charlotte Hornets) are the only two that remain.

Hayward was selected ninth out of Butler, and George was the tenth pick out of Fresno State.

Via @KhizHoop: "Paul George and Gordon Hayward are the ONLY players from the 2010 draft still on a NBA roster.."

This past year, George (who is an eight-time All-Star) averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 45.7% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range in 56 regular season.

In addition to the Clippers, he has also played for the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Since joining Los Angeles, George has dealt with injuries and has been unable to play in more than 56 regular season games per year.

As for Hayward (who is a one-time All-Star), he is coming off a season where he averaged 14.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest while shooting 47.5% from the field and 32.5% from the three-point range.

He has also played for the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz.

Just like George, Hayward has dealt with injuries and has been unable to play more than 52 regular season games per year over the previous four seasons.

In addition to George and Hayward, DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall were the other All-Stars from the 2010 NBA Draft class.

Wall was the first overall pick out of Kentucky and played 34 games for the Clippers in 2023.
