Steph Curry's Honest Quote After Clippers-Warriors Game
On Wednesday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Los Angeles Clippers by a score of 130-125 (at home).
For most of the night, the Warriors had control, but they blew an 11-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.
After the game, All-Star guard Steph Curry met with the media and was asked about the team's performance at home this season (h/t Warriors on NBCS).
A reporter informed Curry that the team is 14-14 at home (during his answer).
Curry: "Very average doesn't get it done in this league. We need to make a run. Hopefully, bounce back tomorrow, and then after the All-Star break, hit a stride that you win every game here and steal some on the road; that's the formula. But we've been very average so far. So we've gotta regain that home-court fear that we've been accustomed to in the past."
In addition to the loss, the Warriors blew another fantastic effort from Curry.
The two-time MVP had 41 points, four rebounds and five assists while shooting 15/31 from the field and 9/19 from the three-point range in 35 minutes of playing time.
With the loss, the Warriors dropped to 26-26 in 52 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference.
They had been in the middle of a five-game winning streak, so they are still 7-3 over their last ten games.
On Thursday evening, the Warriors will visit the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City for their final game before the All-Star break.
