Steph Curry Made NBA History In Lakers-Warriors Game

Steph Curry made NBA history in Thursday's game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors.

On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors are hosting LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Chase Center for Game 2 of their second-round playoff series.

During the game, Steph Curry made NBA history by moving up on the all-time playoff assists list

The two-time MVP came into the night with 870 career playoff assists, which was tied with Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade.

He has now passed Wade for sole possession of 24th place on the list.

Following Wade, the next player for Curry to pass will be Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler (891).

Curry is the greatest shooter of all time (and one of the best overall scorers), but he is also a gifted passer with a career average of 6.5 assists per contest.

The nine-time All-Star has spent his entire career with the Warriors and is one of the top ten players to ever play in the NBA.

He has led the franchise to four NBA Championships in the previous eight seasons, and they have also been to the NBA Finals six times during that span.

The Warriors are the sixth seed in the Western Conference and beat the Sacramento Kings in the first round in seven games.

In Game 1, they lost to the Lakers by a score of 117-112, so a victory on Thursday will tie up the series at 1-1.

Games 3 and 4 will be in Los Angeles on Saturday and Monday.

The winner will advance to the Western Conference Finals.
