Steph Curry's Viral Quote About Klay Thompson After Nuggets-Warriors Game

Steph Curry spoke about Klay Thompson after Sunday's game.

On Sunday evening, the Golden State Warriors hosted the Denver Nuggets at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The Warriors dominated at the start of the game but ended up losing by a score of 119-103.

Klay Thompson came off the bench for the fourth straight game and finished with 23 points, two rebounds and one assist while shooting 7/15 from the field and 5/13 from the three-point range in 31 minutes of playing time.

After the game, two-time MVP Steph Curry met with the media and spoke highly of Thompson when he was asked about his longtime teammate.

The clip (via Warriors on NBCS) had nearly 4,000 likes in less than 17 hours.

Curry: "No matter if it's a starting role, bench role, whatever it is. He's still Klay Thompson, and he can come in and do exactly what he did tonight. I know he wanted to shoot better in the second half, but the more reps he gets, the more confidence he has to just go out there and just play basketball and don't let the narratives kind of consume him; that's when he's at his best."

Curry finished the game with 20 points, one rebound and four assists while shooting 6/19 from the field and 1/10 from the three-point range.

The Warriors are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 29-27 record in 56 games.

Following the Nuggets, the Warriors will now face off against Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards on Tuesday evening in Washington, D.C.
