Steph Curry's Viral Tweet About Mac McClung

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry sent out a tweet about Mac McClung.

On Saturday night, the Slam Dunk Contest took place at NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mac McClung was the star of the show, as the 24-year-old scored a perfect 50 on three out of his four dunks.

The entire NBA world was celebrating his performance on social media, and one person who sent out a tweet was Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry.

Curry tweeted: "Man was a viral HOH high school dunk phenom, still working his way to the League, but lemme go get that dunk contest trophy right quick and bring it back to life!!! Unreal #macmclung"

His post has over 91,000 likes and nine million impressions in less than 24 hours.

McClung has spent the entire year playing in the G League for the Delaware Blue Coats but was recently signed by the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-way contract.

He has only played in two NBA games (for the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers) during the 2021-22 season.

However, the former Georgetown and Texas Tech star gained notoriety for his exciting plays in high school and college.

After winning the contest, McClung met with the media.

McClung: "It's a cliche, but you can really do whatever you wanna do. I've had so many people, even at the highest level, like if you're a young kid and someone who is an inspiration to you, someone that you respect so much, tells you, you can't do it; it doesn't matter. If you manifest and put your mind to it, you can literally make your life and reinvent yourself every day."
