Steve Kerr's Bold Statement About Klay Thompson's Ejection In Timberwolves-Warriors Game

Steve Kerr met with the media after the Golden State Warriors lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves by a score of 104-101 on their home floor at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

During the first quarter, there was a scuffle that took place, and Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Jaden McDaniels were all ejected

After the game, head coach Steve Kerr met with the media and said that he didn't think Thompson should have been ejected (h/t Anthony Slater of The Athletic).

Kerr: "There's no way Klay Thompson should have been thrown out of the game. He's running up the floor, and the guy grabs his jersey, and he's pulling on him, so Klay pulls back. No way Klay should have been ejected. That was ridiculous."

With the loss, the Warriors dropped to 6-6 in their first 12 games, and they are now in the middle of a four-game losing streak.

The team was also playing without their best player, as Steph Curry was out due to a knee injury.

Rookie Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors with 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and one steal while shooting 9/18 from the field and 3/8 from the three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.

Following the Timberwolves, the Warriors will host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center on Thursday evening.

As for Thompson, he came into the evening with averages of 16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 42.6% from the field and 34.7% from the three-point range.
