4 Teams Reportedly Interested In O.G. Anunoby

According to Shams Charania (on FanDuel TV), the New Orleans Pelicans, Indiana Pacers, Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks have interest in Toronto Raptors player O.G. Anunoby.

The NBA trading deadline is coming up in less than two weeks (February 9), so a lot of movement could be on the verge of happening around the league.

One name to reportedly watch is Toronto Raptors player O.G. Anunoby, who is in the middle of a solid season with averages of 16.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.1 steals per contest.

On Tuesday, Shams Charania (on FanDuel TV) reported that four teams (the New Orleans Pelicans, Indiana Pacers, Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks) have interest in the former Indiana Hoosier.

Charania: "I'm told the Suns, the Knicks, they're still teams to look at. I would also pay attention to the Pelicans, the Pacers. They've also registered some interest in O.G. Anunoby, from what I'm told."

While he has never made the All-Star Game, the 25-year-old is one of the better young players in the league (and is an excellent defender).

Out of all the teams that Charania mentioned, the Suns have been the best over the last few seasons.

They made the NBA Finals in 2021 and are coming off a season where they had the best record in the regular season (64-18) in 2022.

Adding a player like Anunoby to the core of Devin Booker and Chris Paul could make them even more dangerous in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

As for the other teams, they are all in the playoff mix and would greatly benefit from a massive addition like the sixth-year forward.

Right now, the Raptors are the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 23-29 record in 52 games.
